Primary Duties & Essential Functions:

Plumbing Repairs and Services
Carpentry
Exterior Ground Keeping
Roofing
Painting
Masonry
Miscellaneous
Custodial
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
High School Diploma/GED
3 years’ experience in the trades of assisting and maintaining buildings, rental apartments and single-family homes.
Working knowledge in being able to handle multiple types of repairs and maintenance.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
Must live within 30 minutes of main campus.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
Abilities and Working Conditions:
Must be available to work a 40-hour work week and ability to be available on rotating weekends/after-hours emergency coverage.
Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with no restrictions.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.
Travel to residences and agency properties.
Ability to deal positively with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Display a positive, professional and proactive attitude to accomplish quality work that is in line with the agency’s mission statement.
Seek opinions, alternative viewpoints in decision making. Understand and respect the expertise and experience of others, appreciate the different views, and the perspective and limitations of other individuals.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00
