Anticipated period of employment: 09/03/2024 to 12/15/2024

All applicants must have 3 months experience hand harvesting a perishable crop. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers.

Record information about crops corn and hay; Participate in the sorting, storage, and post harvest treatment of crops such as covering feed bunks with plastic and tires; Repair, clean, and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn and hay; Load agricultural products and byproducts into trucks and drive to storage facilities or fields; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping, such as pick stones, mow, trim lawns with string trimmer, clear brush, and trim bushes and trees; Maintain inventory; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures such as waterers, feed bunks, headlocks, stalls, and corrals; Mix specified materials or chemicals and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter, harvester, or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using bolts and hand tools; Set up, operate, and maintain manure irrigation/injection equipment including moving hoses and running pumps; Move snow. Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office.
