NJ Employer field worker & harvester in Williamson, New York
Anticipated period of employment: 08/02/2024 to 12/31/2024
No experience hand harvesting a perishable crop.
The position offered is a 40 hour work week. There is no educational requirement for this position. Basic job requirements include 50 lb. lifting requirements, exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending, and repetitive movements. Job duties will entail: Trimming and pruning of Apple, Pear, Peach, Plum, Apricot, and Prune trees. Planting of new fruit trees. Planting various vegetable plants that include (Zucchini, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Bell Pepper, Assorted Hot Peppers, Winter Squash, Green Kale, Tuscan Kale, Collard Greens, Green Cabbage, Red Cabbage, Nappa Cabbage, Potatoes, Onions, Leek, Celery, Celery Root, Garden Beets, Swiss Chard.) Workers will tend and weed all crops previously mentioned and assist in crop management. See ETA 790/790A for a complete job description.
Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office.
