Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water a variety of plants and flowers using hand and gardening tools. Plants to include but not limited to- geraniums, petunias, coleus, vinca vines, begonias, impatiens and fuchsia. Transplant and/or pot and label them. Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease. Operate 75hp tractors and other machinery to include but not limited to gators, scissor lifts and Christmas tree balers to fertilize, cultivate, move and spray greenhouses, plants, pumpkins and conifer trees. Other crops will include hanging baskets, annuals & perennials, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash, Will operate equipment in farm fields and drive on farm roads. All machinery or equipment operation will be done within the nursery and/or farm setting and are incidental to work at our business location. Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Spray plants/flowers/trees with prescribed herbicides, fungicides and pesticides to control diseases and insects under strict supervision. Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, and conifers.
