Town of Southampton Senior Park Attendant in SOUTHAMPTON, New York

-Supervises the work of Park Attendants who direct traffic and collect the fees for boat ramps, parking and other recreational usage; -Prepares schedules for the assignment of personnel to duty stations; -Receives all monies collected from each facility daily and deposits the funds; -Reconciles the number of use permits issued against the amounts of monies received and maintains the necessary accounting records for receipts and deposits; -Investigates complaints and answers requests or questions from the general public about the personnel, fee schedules and regulations at recreation facilities; -Responsible for the opening or closing of park facilities as directed by the Town Parks Director Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year experience in a position which includes supervisory duties over a subordinate staff. Supervisory experience should include areas such as: scheduling personnel, determining work flow, analysis of staff needs, training of personnel or review of subordinate work. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of New York upon appointment.
