Sodexo General Manager 5 - Food in NEW YORK, New York

Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team at a high-volume restaurant at Inside Park at St. Bart's in New York, NY !

The ideal candidate will have experience with large accounts, proficiency in software systems and excellent communication skills. We seek an organized, driven, and energetic individual who stays ahead of industry trends, handles change well, and can take direction and feedback from multiple leaders. This position requires the ability to lead a diverse team, face daily challenges, and maintain a positive and energetic work environment. We are looking for candidates who have:

  • experience managing a team both front-of-house and back-of-house

  • financial acumen, experience with creating and managing budgets

  • experience training and mentoring a talented and diverse staff

  • customer driven and strong track record in organizational development

  • superior client relations skills and executive presence

  • who has experience with farm to table cuisine and sustainability

  • experience with building great teams

  • have a Bachelors Degree or 5+ years equivalent experience

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;

  • have extensive experience managing and operating a budget

  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;

  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or

  • demonstrate working knowledge of food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.
