Armington Nursery Inc. dba Wayside Contractors Landscape Laborer in Macedon, New York
Landscape Laborer: (15) Fulltime, Temporary, Peak Load (H-2B)
Employer: Armington Nursery dba Wayside Contractors, 124 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
Duties: Move soil, equipment; wheelbarrows, tillers, & materials; dig holes for plants, trees & drainage swails, install landscape materials, rake, sweep, water, prune, mulch, weed, clean up, mowing, weed eat. Able to lift 85lbs. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions from 25-95 degrees F, including rain, sleet, snow, wind.
Employer facilitates voluntary housing arrangements upon worker request along with corresponding payroll deductions, $75.00/weekly for rent and utilities. Daily transportation will be provided from a central location to and from worksites in the following counties: Wayne, Livingston, Genesee, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Yates, Cayuga. 124 State Route 31, Macedon, NY 14502.
No education or experience required. Wiling to accept a trainee. Employer will provide on-the-job training.
Work Days: Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm, 40 hours/week at $19.65/hour. OT at $29.48-$30.00/hour when available. Bonus/raise at employer's discretion, opportunity for higher pay depending on experience and performance.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Thursday.
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer will provide company-specific uniforms at no cost to worker (not mandatory to wear).
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts.
