Job Title: Water Safety Instructor (WSI)Location: New York, NYSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (20 hours per week)Due Date: April 10Pay Rate: $35 - $42 per hourResponsibilities:Teach various Swimming and Water Safety classes to individuals of all ages.Ensure individuals enjoy their time in the water safely.Availability for up to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and during non-school hours.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.Possession of separate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) from an approved course listed on the NYS CPR fact sheet.Valid Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification throughout the contract period.WSI certification must be from an approved provider.Additional Information:The schedule is subject to change, determined by the Director of Recreation/Rehabilitation in advance.CPR certificates are valid for one year from course completion.Approved courses can be found on the Progressive Swimming Instructor Fact Sheet (ny.gov).Note: Refer to NYC Public Schools for School Year Calendar.
