Work Schedule: Days Evenings Nights with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Primary: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Secondary: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Summary:

The Environmental Services Aide performs a variety of cleaning tasks, in order to maintain the Hospital in a sanitary and orderly manner. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Lockport Memorial Hospital to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.

Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Graduate/or Equivalent

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

EXPERIENCE

  • No Prior experience or training required - on the job training provided.

  • One (1) year floor and carpet care experience in a health care facility or hospitality preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Maintain logs

  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.

  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no language skills.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

  • Occasionally exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens, housekeeping cleaning agents/chemicals
