Summary:
The Environmental Services Aide performs a variety of cleaning tasks, in order to maintain the Hospital in a sanitary and orderly manner. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Lockport Memorial Hospital to incorporate the Hospital's goal of: Quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.
Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION:
- High School Graduate/or Equivalent
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
EXPERIENCE
No Prior experience or training required - on the job training provided.
One (1) year floor and carpet care experience in a health care facility or hospitality preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Maintain logs
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no language skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
