Lackawanna, NY. Global Concepts Charter School. Maintenance Full Time. FT. $17.00/Hour.
Summary: General repair and maintenance of the building, grounds, equipment and related facilities. Performs minor carpentry, painting and plumbing maintenance work. Supervises all cleaners.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Supervise Building Cleaning Staff. Communicates any changes in daily duties. Makes sure all shifts are covered. Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches, light fixtures bulbs, ballasts, and tubes). Performs minor plumbing maintenance (repair or replace minor leaks in drains and faucets: unclog drains. Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work. (painting, staining, hanging doors, changing locks). Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks. Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners etc). Inspect Buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and write up report. Helps maintain lobby, stairways, parking lots, hallways, lounges, restrooms and other work areas as needed. Other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience: Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, plumbing or electrician experience is strongly preferred and supervision of staff. Must have drivers license and clean record.
