Beaver Hollow Conference Center Outdoor Porter in Java Center, New York
Outdoor Porter
Position Reports to: Director of Facilities
Subordinate Staff: None
The porter is responsible for cleaning all outdoor public areas on the property that guest's will be utilizing. These areas include meeting rooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces and other work areas not listed so that standards are met.
Responsibilities:
The porter will take direction from their supervisor and perform and other cleaning duties as directed. Will be required to know how to read and write in order to request a repair service from the maintenance department and follow up on the requests making sure they are being completed. Deliver items to the guest rooms if any requests are made, such as requesting extra towels. Empty garbages Assist landscaping department with general lawn maintenance Sweep front and rear entrances of decks and outdoor shelters Clean and tidy up outdoor pool area Responsible for maintaining Recreational Equipment Responsible for cleaning out the bonfire areas as needed Other duties as requested by management
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Minimum 18 years of age with a Valid Driver License High school diploma or equivalent experience. Able to sit/stand for long periods of time. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be able to transport goods on a regular basis. The job will require working both indoors and outdoors around our facility sometimes working in inclement weather. Detail oriented personality The ability to carry out instructions Excellent attendance is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs.
Salary: $15.50/hour
