Lutheran Activities Coordinator-Hultquist Place in Jamestown, New York

Hultquist Place, Lutheran's Assisted Living Program is currently seeking a Full- Time Activity Coordinator. May include weekend hours.

Purpose: This position works in collaboration with the Activity Director to maintain an organized, diverse program of individual and group activities which enable each resident to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social and intellectual activities with-in the facility and community in order to sustain and promote an individual’s potential and sense of usefulness to self and others.

Qualifications: High School Diploma and valid drivers’ license required. Must be willing to be trained on driving the company van.

Salary- $15.00 Min- $20.76 Max

Job Duties:

  • Assists in the purchase of appropriate materials and equipment within the department budget.

  • Assists the Director in creating a monthly calendar to address individual and group needs.

  • Assists in scheduling and planning large events, coordinating with other departments effectively.

  • Writes initial assessments for residents.

  • Maintains records of attendance for each activity covered.

  • Plans and carries out a schedule of programs to meet the individual activity plans.

  • Posts, announces and informs residents, staff and families of the scheduled activities in a timely manner.

  • Bus training to operate the lift, wheelchair lockdown, heating/cooling system, and driving if applicable.

  • Attends in-services, courses and seminars that would enhance knowledge of the activities field.

  • Writes progress notes to indicate individual responses and involvement at least quarterly and more often if needed for each resident.

  • Other duties as assigned
