East Irondequoit Central School District School Nutrition Cook Manager 2024/25 in Irondequoit, New York
There is a July 1, 2024, opening for a Cook Manager in the School Nutrition Department at East Irondequoit Middle School. This position is 8 hours per day, working from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Monday - Friday. Cook Managers report from August 22, 2024 - June 26, 2025, for the 2024/25 school and is subject to change yearly.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:
Responsible for proper receiving and storage of food and supplies.
Works with the Food Service Director to prepare weekly food orders for their specific School.
Prepare/transfer foods and other items
Set up prep area/serving line/cash register for menu items and ease of service; stock shelves/freezers/coolers/service areas.
Serve/prepare foods properly or operate cash register efficiently and courteously.
Maintain clean and orderly workstation; count/store/return leftover foods.
Assist with cleanup of equipment, dishes, pots/pans and work areas.
Complete paperwork, recordkeeping or inventory tasks as required.
Assist food service director and other staff as requested.
Attend management meetings; participate in professional development.
Job Qualifications
- Monroe County Department of Health L2 Certification Required; Serve Safe Certification or Monroe County Department of Health L1 Certification Preferred.
