The Farmworker will perform a combination of the following duties in connection with growing a variety of vegetables and flowers. Vegetables include: Greens, baby greens, mesclun greens, braising greens, mustard greens, chard, spinach, kale, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, beets, carrots, fennel, green beans, sweet peas, eggplants, turnips, winter squash, culinary herbs. Flowers include: Peonies, dahlias, cosmos and larkspur. Participate in all aspects of crop production including soil preparation, greenhouse seeding, transplanting, cultivation, weeding, pruning, watering, harvesting, washing and marketing. Harvest full-grown crops requiring digging, picking, loading lifting. Load and transport harvested crops. Operate and maintain tractors and a variety of implements and trucks. Work in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 50lbs with assistance. 40 Hours/week. Additional hours and Saturday work required as necessary based on weather and crop progression.
