Job Title: Floor Technician
Location: Foltsbrook Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Herkimer, NY
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Position Summary:
Foltsbrook Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Floor Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors throughout our facility, including stripping and waxing floors, carpet cleaning, varnishing, and light scrubbing. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Maintenance: Perform stripping, waxing, and buffing of various floor surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Carpet Care: Clean and maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, and spot treatment.
- Burnishing: Use a high rpm Burnisher to shine waxed floors.
- Light Scrubbing: Conduct light scrubbing of floors and other surfaces as needed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report on the condition and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in floor care or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
