Garnet Health (formerly Greater Hudson Valley Health) Security Officer - Part-time in Harris, New York
Overview: Garnet Health Catskills is seeking Part-time and Per-Diem Security Guards in Harris.
The Security Guards assist the Medical Center Administration in its protection program and provides a safe and secure environment conducive to quality patient care. Enforces all established Medical Center and Safety and Security Department policies and procedures related to the protection program concerned with physical and procedural security designed to safeguard personnel, prevent unauthorized access to equipment, facilities, materials and documents and safeguards them against theft and damage.
Minimum Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent required. Successful completion of the New York State Eight Hour Pre-assignment Training Course prior to hire highly preferred, with completion required within 90 days of hire or transfer. Successful completion of the New York State Sixteen Hour On-The-Job Training (OTJ) Course prior to hire highly preferred, with completion required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
Minimum Experience:
Experience in security field and/or law enforcement preferred.
Valid Driver's license without violations meeting insurance carrier needs
NYS Security Guard Registry within 90 days of hire
Completion of a NYS approved 8-hour Annual In-Service training course once per calendar year
Shift, Salary, and Benefits; shift varies for these positions, Monday - Sunday, $18.00-22.50 hourly, Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Holidays, and 401K/Retirement.
