Position Detail

Full-time position. Day / evening shift , shift ends no later than 8pm. Must be available every other weekend.

Position Summary

The Cook Lead position requires an experienced cook (i.e. restaurant type experience) to prepare meals accurately and efficiently for a variety of food items for various meal periods. To include Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Dinner and Special/Catered Events. They are responsible for supervising the kitchens operations in the absence of the Dietary Manager and/or Executive Chef.

  • Prepare and cooking meals from a planned menu utilizing standardized recopies to maintain quality, quantity and safety

  • Overseeing kitchen staff in food production and directing work in absence of Dietary Manager and/or Executive Chef

  • Applying proper procedures during preparation, portioning and storing

  • Preparing and assembling foods for modified diets or special needs of customers and guests

  • Maintaining portion controls while serving food at proper temperatures

  • Assisting in storeroom with food supplies upon delivery

  • Prepares food in accordance with state, federal and company standards

  • Must follow and adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

  • The understanding of verbal instructions with meal preparations and cooking

  • Ability to follow recipes or product directions when preparing or cooking food

  • Complies with all HCCP policies and procedures

  • Always provides the highest quality of service to customers

  • Attendance: Regular, reliable & dependable work attendance

    Essential Job Requirements

    Education: High School diploma or GED preferred

    License: N/A

    Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Advanced knowledge in the operation of kitchen equipment. Advanced knife skills. Experience implementing and adhering to safety and sanitation.

    Experience: 4-8 years of related job experience. Leadership & Supervisor experience preferred
