Groundskeeping/Irrigation Worker - 13 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 03/01/2025-11/15/2025
Employer: Aqua Turf Irrigation Systems, LLC., 6 Westchester Plaza, Suite 124, Elmsford, NY 10523.
Duties: Maintain/install irrigation/sprinkler systems. Use irrigation/drainage methods to adjust water consumption and prevent waste. Lay straw, sod. Extensive digging using hand tools, shovels and other landscape tools and activities.
Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds. Must be able to work in bending and standing positions for extended periods in extreme heat/cold.
Employer will provide daily transportation to and from work sites in New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA, MSA from designated pick up location: 6 Westchester Plaza, Elmsford, NY 10523.
No education required, 3 months verifiable experience required. Employer will accept related experience (groundskeeping or landscaping work acceptable).
Work hours: Min of 40 hours/week. Mon-Fri, Sat as needed, 7am-4pm, up to 40 hours/week at $21.87/hour. Possible OT at $32.81/hour.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Workers from outside normal commute responsible for their own housing/living expenses.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer to provide and launder company specific uniforms at no cost to workers.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts. Transportation pay/reimbursement is equal to the most economical/reasonable common carrier for the distance involved.
