What does a Custodian do?

A custodian is responsible for performing a variety of duties relating to the maintenance of the Bank’s buildings, grounds, and equipment. This includes vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and emptying trash as well as sweeping mopping and scrubbing rooms and hallways. The custodian will also clean windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms. This role will also maintain proper supplies in restrooms and informs immediate supervisor of any needed repairs.

What competencies are needed to be successful in this role?

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalency.

  • Previous custodial experience preferred.

  • Prior experience stropping and waxing floors highly desired.

  • Basic reading and writing skills; ability to stand, stoop, reach, climb stairs, bend, and lift objects weighing 50lbs or less.

Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday evening shifts, after normal banking hours, 10-15 hours per week. Additional hours may be available on occasion due to vacations of other team members.

Compensation

The compensation rate for this position is $16.00 per hour. The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
