POSITION: Food Service Helper STARTING SALARY: $ 16.25 - $17.50 per hour LOCATION: Various School Locations

Upon arrival, reports to Manager or Pre-Pack Leader for assignment of dutiees;

Assist in the preparation and serving of food;

Assist in the use of kitchen equipment used in the preparation of food;

Assist food handling, including proper storage of food;

Cleans all aspects of the kitchen, etc.

-equipment, serving area, washes dishes, pots, pans, tableware, etc.;

Maintains and cleans food preparation and storage areas; sweep and mop floors;

May serve as a cashier and/or server;

Clean and sanitize tables in dining room;

Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(A) Applicants must have experience in domestic work, preferably but not limited to: preparation and serving of food, maintenance of kitchens, serving areas and food storage areas, etc.;

OR

(B) An equivalent combination of training and experience that indicates ability to perform required duties under the typical work activities listed above. APPOINTMENT: Appointments are subject to the review of the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following the approval of the City of Buffalo Civil Service Division.
