Position: Porter
Outreach is seeking a qualified Full time Porter/Office Cleaner to work in our substance abuse treatment program at Outreach House Women Residence located in Brentwood, LI. The Porter/Office Cleaner will carry out vital services that keep our building running smoothly. The schedule for this position is 10 am to 6 pm Monday- F riday.
Job Scope:
Lobby maintenance
Clean common areas like kitchens, cafeterias and offices
Vacuum all carpeted rooms and mop non-carpeted floors
Monitor and service restrooms, refill soap dispensers, toilet paper rolls, toilet seat covers and paper towels in bathrooms
Remove trash and debris
Meeting setup/tear down
Wipe down desks/file cabinets, etc. in all offices.
Be aware of universal precautions and proper procedures for cleaning up hazardous spills
The Schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm
Off Saturday & Sunday
Long Island, NY position, the expected base salary is $32000 - $40000
Qualifications:
Minimum of High School diploma or GED
Previous experience as a cleaner/porter
Basic construction, electrical and plumbing skills a plus
Understanding of federal and state building safety standards
Knowledge of OSHA universal precautions
Clean and valid NYS drivers license a plus
